The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our Houston sales team. This individual will be the driving force behind our revenue growth and the champion of our customer-centric sales philosophy. The ideal candidate is a passionate leader with a profound knowledge of high-end cycling products and a proven track record in premium retail environments. You are more than a manager; you are a coach, a strategist, and the lead storyteller for the incredible brands we represent.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Development
Set clear, challenging, and achievable sales goals and KPIs for the team and individuals.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
Cultivate a collaborative, positive, and high-energy team culture rooted in a shared passion for cycling.
Lead daily huddles and weekly sales meetings to align the team, share product knowledge, and celebrate successes.
2. Sales & Customer Experience:
Lead by example by actively engaging with customers on the sales floor, demonstrating a consultative and relationship-based sales approach.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Ensure every customer receives the "Epic Cycles Experience"—a welcoming, informative, and personalized journey from initial greeting to post-purchase follow-up.
Expertly manage and resolve any customer issues or escalations with professionalism and empathy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, VIPs, and local cycling teams/clubs.
3. Operations & Merchandising:
Collaborate with the General Manager on inventory planning, forecasting, and product assortment to ensure we meet the demands of the Denver market.
Maintain a world-class showroom appearance, ensuring bikes and merchandise are immaculately presented according to brand standards.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
Oversee the point-of-sale (POS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring data accuracy and effective team utilization.
4. Community Engagement & Brand Ambassadorship:
Plan, promote, and execute in-store events, such as product launch parties, tech clinics, and group rides.
Represent Epic Cycles at local cycling events, races, and expos, acting as a key brand ambassador within the community.
Foster partnerships with local clubs, coaches, and corporate partners to drive traffic and build brand loyalty.

Requirements
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of 3−5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a high-end or luxury goods environment (e.g., premium sporting goods, automotive, high-end electronics).
You possess a deep, demonstrable passion for and technical knowledge of modern cycling, including road, mountain, and gravel disciplines. You live and breathe bikes.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team to achieve ambitious goals.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to connect with a discerning clientele.
Strong business acumen with experience in sales analysis, reporting, and strategy implementation.
Proficient with retail POS and CRM software.
Even Better If You Have:
Direct experience working in the bicycle industry.
Existing relationships within the Houston cycling community.
Experience with professional bike fitting systems and methodologies.
Experience in planning and executing retail events and marketing initiatives.
